How to Disable the SELinux on CentOS 6.2

In CentOS 6.2 minimal server installation, SELinux is set to enable. To disabled the SELinux, please change “SELINUX=enforcing” to “SELINUX=disabled”. This will disable SELinux on your next reboot.

[root@centos6 ~]# vi /etc/selinux/config

# This file controls the state of SELinux on the system.
# SELINUX= can take one of these three values:
#     enforcing - SELinux security policy is enforced.
#     permissive - SELinux prints warnings instead of enforcing.
#     disabled - No SELinux policy is loaded.
SELINUX=enforcing
# SELINUXTYPE= can take one of these two values:
#     targeted - Targeted processes are protected,
#     mls - Multi Level Security protection.
SELINUXTYPE=targeted

To disable SELinux, without having to reboot, you can use the setenforce command as below:
